‘The Feed’ was an industry-first program that nurtured accreditation and rewarded training outcomes across a large online community of Zoetis resellers.

The Challenge

Zoetis is a global animal health company and one of the world's largest producers of medicines and vaccinations for domesticated animals and livestock. 

With a large and complex hierarchy of resellers within its program’s database, Zoetis needed a way to scale its engagement with resellers and offer targeted specialised product training to each of the buying groups in the Australian livestock market.

A key challenge for Zoetis was to ensure each of its resellers were up to date with accreditations, to be able to continue the distribution of specific Zoetis products. A solution was needed that would nurture resellers to stay up-to-date with the latest training and ensure accreditations were being met.

The Solution

The solution for Zoetis was a staged approach to align with emerging business needs.

Launching ‘The Feed’ from day one provided resellers access to an integrated portal where they could complete online training, access Zoetis news and resources.  

As part of the experience, and to drive engagement, resellers were awarded points for different types of activities which included:

  • Completing training
  • Logging in once a week
  • Downloading resources

As the expiration of a reseller’s accreditation approached, automated journeys were set up to remind resellers to renew their accreditation and drive them back online to complete training.

To ensure Zoetis reps had real-time information about their resellers, a secure portal was created giving reps access to training data, and more importantly, which resellers had lost their accreditation - a critical part of the workflow to manage compliance.

The end solution was an integrated experience that supported both Zoetis reps and their network of valued resellers.

  • K-commerce: Supported a point based store where participants could purchase rewards using points.
  • K-promotions: Enabled Zoetis to set up targeted promotions, for example, earn double points on the completion of a course.
  • K-journeys: Used to set up a nurture journey that automatically reminded participants when their accreditation was expiring.
  • K-learning: Was used to create and manage structured online training content that was targeted to buying groups.

The Result

Specialised products were able to be linked with course accreditation which resulted in much higher levels of compliance across reseller groups which was one of the key objectives of the feed.
